as they can't do drastic changes.Ĭontact this guy from Bauce racing. but work best if you have the tune close first. so don't put too much thought into why the maps are the way they are. They're not necessarily going to work for your bike in a different part of the country with different altitudes. and maybe they used it on the dyno and got good results using the afr as a guide. remember these are only something someone made based on not much else than theory. The maps usually don't have drastic changes. kiss a politician in the mouth with your fist for this. so welcome to the world of vague fault codes that tell you nothing. if you haven't noticed yet you also do not have the built in "diagnostics" on the 2017. must be something to do with how it's now has to meet Euro4 emissions and yamaha didn't make them different for the usa. it looks like the inj cut on decel and O2 settings and exup have all been removed for the 2017 R6. Some of the maps you pick cannot be altered. I understand the values on the maps should be carefully adjusted, but the big value differences in the 2017 maps vs earlier maps for the R6 is confusing in comparison.īesides the subtle differences in the values in the maps, what else is different when comparing a stock vs unrestricted ECU? Are the values on the 2017 maps rated differently? Or can the values be adjusted to the higher percentage (90%+) to actually receive full throttle capabilities at higher RPM? I'm not sure on the 2017 as the values are such a big difference from the earlier R6. Looking at earlier year 2008-2016 R6 "TPS vs RPM" maps on Stock and Unrestricted, the values can reach up to 90% at higher rpm. At 100% throttle postion the highest values are at 29% on both the Stock and Unrestricted 2017 R6 maps. The values (Stock vs Unrestricted) are pretty much the same with subtle differences. It's a bit confusing when looking at the 2017 R6 Stock vs Unrestricted "TPS vs RPM" maps. The values in the 2017 map is totally different from the earlier 2008-2016 R6 maps. I'm looking to smooth out the throttle response. Anyone know where the settings are for the following sittings on the 2017 R6 ECU sitting?:Īlso is anyone with a 2017 R6 willing to help with adjusting the "TPS vs RPM" maps or share their modified maps so I can use as a good base to start. FlashTune files, maps and settings for the 2017 R6 is different from earlier R6.
